My Mother is there now 5/12/24. Rooms filthy. I called 3 hrs ago to have nurse call me. She never returned my call. I had to call back. Then I couldn't understand her. I wouldn't take my animal there. I'm a retired Registered Nurse and worked in surgery at Carolinas Medical Center. I'm thinking of having my mother transferred. The house supervisor acted like it wasn't a problem. Don't go there, much better hospitals around this area. I'd like to have a face to face meeting with the CEO.

I just had my third child at this hospital and each experience has been bery good. The staff is so friendly. I appreciate the kindness and support I was given for all 3 births. I have no complaints about the labor and delivery department here. The nurses were truly exceptional!

My Mother was admitted on Friday night after a fall. She then stayed 5 days for what was diagnosed as a bad bruise. During the stay we never saw an actual DR, only the Nurse Practitioner every nurse we encountered called a "DR". Medical staff were in and out of the room with little to no explanation of who they were and what they were doing. A variety of tests were run with no explanation of what or why they were administering the test. Then treatments were ordered and administered without any diagnosis being received by the patient or family. Phone calls were requested when family was not in the room during consultations which where never received.
Medications were not available and there seems to be a giant lack of new technology anywhere in the facility. No medical staff ever entered the room with my Mom's file accessible. Any time a question was asked we were told they needed to review her file and we did not receive any answers to our questions. We had to beg to receive fluids after it was diagnosed on admission that Mom was very dehydrated.
Then this morning on day 5 we had been told the "DR" on call, again not a DR, would be by during the morning rounds to see if a possible release would be an option later in the day. We where told this would occur anytime between 7-10am, and that the sickest patients come first. When the Nurse on duty Lyric, was asked when we should expect the visit she had no idea what we where talking about explaining the visit could come at anytime during the day. At this point my family had reached our breaking points and the option of moving my Mom to a different hospital was brought up. This was received with nothing but hostility . There was 1 more consultation with the Nurse Practitioner. She recommended 1 more round of blood work and if everything looked good we could take her home later in the day. We were told it was ok to leave for a bit take care of other matters and to return in a few hours to hopefully take Mom home. 15 MINUTES later Lyric called back explaining that Mom had already been discharged and no further blood work was done and that we had 15 minutes to get there before she was put out on the curb.
When my sister arrived to Hospital she was refused entry above the 1st floor and any further communication with any DR would not be happening.
This has been a nightmare experience for my family and I. The condition and expectations of service at this hospital are the lowest I can imagine. It a huge disservice to this community that this is the only hospital in town.
Again, avoid the place if at all possible. They seem to only make decisions based on the bottom line. This is not a place you can trust to take good care of your loved ones.

Alarms going off in rooms, phones ringing off the hook,
....no one around!
If you have a loved one please please please please please please think TWICE about coming here.
I will say, the NURSES and Doctors are really good and they do CARE!
The SYSTEM is what makes it bad!
And that's NOT fair to them.
From the ER staff to the hospital staff....TOP NOTCH IN MY BOOK!

Piedmont (owners) you really stress the families out with: the lack of transparency between shifts for one. Every new nurse doesn't know the history because it's not WELL documented in the system.
And being understaffed really compromises quality care.
What choices do we have though?
Atrium, Novant and who else????
Who could revamp Rock Hill's only Hospital?
Which City Or State should replicate their successful Hospital here?

Brought my sister to the ER. She had open heart surgery in September 23. They took her back for X-ray and ekg. We have been sitting here for over 2 hours with no news. This place is pathetic. I’ve watched a older gentlemen hunched over in a wheel chair since we got here and he still hasn’t been seen. PATHETIC!!!! Staff standing around talking and laughing. If I could post this review with out no stars I would.

UPDATE: was seen after 9 hours and only because my sister broke down in tears. We spoke to charge nurse and 3 other nurses and made sure that we got the information to file a complaint against the hospital. Charge nurse had to draw blood for the third time because there was a “mixup” between ER and lab the 2 time. Was told after we finally got to leave that there was a person who had been sitting in ER for 14 hours. This should not be. A business is only as good as it’s backup plan and apparently there isn’t one there. We will be contacting Piedmont to follow up that our complaint was made.

I would NOT recommend anyone goes to this hospital. The day of checked in on April 1 the nurses were great I’m very friendly and made me feel comfortable in preop. After surgery, I was in a great deal of pain and upon them trying to get it under control I guess too much was given because my blood pressure drastically dropped. When they moved me, it was the worst pain that I’ve ever felt in my life and I don’t know if there was any other options, but clearly they did not use it because they mo...

After surgery, I was in a great deal of pain and upon them trying to get it under control I guess too much was given because my blood pressure drastically dropped. When they moved me, it was the worst pain that I’ve ever felt in my life and I don’t know if there was any other options, but clearly they did not use it because they moved me twice the same way. Once I got into the room the day and the night nurse were great but the next day I don’t know what happened. The second day, there was no concept of pain control, and they took forever to come in and check on me when I press the nurses button and I was in tears, having to sometimes call 2 to 3 times and even send my husband out . Not to mention when they answered At the nurses station, they all had attitudes from the moment I got there. I really wish I could remember the first two nurses names because they were GREAT once I got to my room on the 3rd floor west wing. The rooms were completely gross, spots on the floor that look like had not been cleaned up and I wonder if they cleaned before I got in there, there was a roach in the light above my bed, which I took pictures of all of these things, And the food was the most worst. Being a military spouse, we have moved all over and I have definitely been in hospitals before, but I wouldn’t wish this On anyone and we don’t have many choices when we have Tricare, but being a medical center if they’re treating me as bad as they did What are they doing to the elderly who can’t speak up for themselves I will never use that hospital again. And I would not recommend it to anyone. Leslie, let me add my final nurse Jordan barely went over, any discharged paperwork, And I had to call her multiple times to get assistance.

Went to Piedmont on 1/30 at 4am, they were not busy at all. The triage room nurses were super friendly, but the service here is very poor. After my vitals were took, I waited for hours to finally be given some Tylenol for pain and then a then a nice lady took me back for a chest X-ray. Finally a nurse practitioner came out to the lobby and told me what they thought was wrong with me(in the Lobby now). I ended up at Chester ER where I got some help.i thought a hospital is where you go to get help!
