I am sitting here at my desk, just reflecting. I recall my days at Twin Lakes as my 911 treatment center. When I came to Twin Lakes in July 2023, I was desperate to stop using drugs and to experience life free of substance abuse. Was Twin Lakes the perfect place? Of course not! Did I get what I needed to continue in recovery? Most definitely! Were the groups influential? When I came to Twin Lakes in July 2023, I was desperate to stop using drugs and to experience life free of substance abuse. Was Twin Lakes the perfect place? Of course not! Did I get what I needed to continue in recovery? Most definitely! Were the groups influential? Most were, and some I was there to attend to get an outside meal on Friday, or I understood the assignment that to recover, there will be things I have to do and not listen to my feelings. Nevertheless, I completed that step in my recovery process. I have continued to recover. My life is better, and Twin Lakes was the starting point. I am grateful.

The comprehensive treatment programs at Twin Lakes offered me a solid foundation to begin my path to sobriety. The individualized care plans ensured that my specific needs were addressed, and the blend of evidence-based therapies, and peer support created a nurturing environment where I could heal and grow.
One of the most impactful aspects of my time at Twin Lakes was the emphasis on building life skills and coping mechanisms. The workshops, counseling sessions, and group therapies equipped me with the tools I needed to manage stress, rebuild relationships, and maintain my sobriety in the long term.
The serene and supportive atmosphere of the facility, surrounded by nature, provided a peaceful backdrop for my recovery. This environment, combined with the center's focus on wellness, helped me reconnect with myself and gain a deeper understanding of my triggers and how to handle them effectively.
Thanks to Twin Lakes Recovery Center, I have not only started my recovery journey but have also gained the confidence and skills to become a better version of myself. From Park, Jason, Johnathan, Tamia, Chris, Cesilie, Chelsea, Lyann, Nurse Evon, and the rest of the techs, as well as, the staff I didn’t mention played a role in my recovery process. The foundation laid here has been instrumental in helping me rebuild my life, and for that, I am immensely grateful. Im Joshua Jackson, I was recently at this rehab facility. The staff was excellent, the meetings were great, and the classes were very rewarding! Im a veteran and I recieved alot of 1 on 1 time with my therapist, who was incredable! I really enjoyed my stay there and would love the opportunity to work there. My goal is to be a drug and alcohol counselor one day and that opportunity would be tremendous for me and my journey....Id give it 10 stars if I could!

It's a beautiful facility with a great staff. Tiffany L. is the absolute BEST Family Therapist. She is always responsive to calls/emails and has truly made a difference in our family by educating us on the disease of addiction and alcoholism.

Absolutely criminal place for a rehab/recovery center. First day my family and I left my brother in their hands, they ran through his belongings while he was sleeping and ended up kicking him out of the center the next day. They still collected the thousands of dollars worth of deposit money we placed with this center and they justified it by saying he still checked in with them. it was for ONE NIGHT and they charged us a couple thousand dollars. Absolutely criminal place for a rehab/recovery center. First day my family and I left my brother in their hands, they ran through his belongings while he was sleeping and ended up kicking him out of the center the next day. They still collected the thousands of dollars worth of deposit money we placed with this center and they justified it by saying he still checked in with them. it was for ONE NIGHT and they charged us a couple thousand dollars. This institution may seem all nice on the outside, but their employees are extremely rude and belittle the clients that need serious attention and care. Furthermore they are more concerned with getting paid and being money hungry than actually caring for the needs of addicts that always need all kinds of help. This place is incapable of such care and is not worth any money or investment. Please trust me as I can not stress it enough with how rude their employees were to us since the first day

Twin lakes is the worst rehab ever. I wanted to AMA and my therapist told me to stand on the street if I wanted to leave and won't let me get a phone call to get picked up. All they care about is Money one person there was always cussing people out and trying to fight people and they didn't kick him out until he hit my friend in the face they didn't even want to call the cops the person who got hit made them call the cops. Client’s concerns are not taken seriously, and if a client speaks out about something that was done that was wrong, they face blowback from employees. Employees have contact and relationships with clients outside of the facility after they leave, and yet face no consequences and are still allowed to work here. Not only that, you walk in the front door, and it’s chaos. Employees seem like they have no clue what they are doing. They seem stressed, and some have very bad attitudes. Clients apparently don’t have any time in between groups to breathe and think about what they have been taught. They have flooding in the bottom floor rooms, yet haven’t even fixed it leaving the client’s things to get soaked if they are sleeping in the area. The employees don’t all enforce the rules so clients are left wondering which rules to follow. Employees split their own staff, clients don’t even have to do it, they do it themselves. My loved one was NOT happy and I will NEVER EVER send them there again. Everything my loved one told me horrified me. How this place is rated #1 is ridiculous. This place is quite honestly, a dump. I repeat, do NOT send your loved ones here if you actually want them to recover and get better.

While I was there, I was given the tools to be successful in my sobriety. Twin Lakes doesn’t treat you like a number, they treat you as though you are family and cheer for you the whole way.
