Because it was my adult child, not myself, I cannot review the treatment center as a whole. I wasn’t the patient so I did not experience the atmosphere or staff at Transformations. As a long time sober alcoholic myself, I knew not to put my nose in my child’s business.. She needed to navigate the process by herself.
What, or rather who, I can review is Keith Berger, Coordinator of Family Integrated Services, because I have had direct and regular contact with Keith throughout the three years since my child left the center. Keith reached out to me as a source of knowledge and comfort for the family members of patients after the patient was discharged. He offered his ear for questions and as a sounding board. His humor, appropriate, frankness and informed intelligence made it easy for me to connect with him, which was his goal…offering support to family members. He explained from the first phone call that he would communicate with me as long as I needed him to so three years later we still text on occasion. He didn’t make his presence available to specifically discuss my child but rather from the alanon perspective of helping me stay sane and on the beam when everything around me was falling apart. Questions I asked Keith were about me, not about my child. He was very forthcoming with his own journey through recovery, which made me feel comfortable…it’s easier to talk with someone who has been in similar places as I’ve been in rather than someone who simply has a degree in addiction related topics.
I will say that three years out, my child is in a very healthy place in her life, has self respect and the respect of others, is employed in a new and challenging field that leaves her feeling fulfilled and is no longer in darkness. It wasn’t immediately a smooth ride when she returned from treatment but she got there.
So thank you, Keith, for your ear, your humor, your experience, strength and hope.

They have really grown over the years! Everyone I met was incredibly friendly and down to earth. I love that there are separate programs for young adults and adults over 30. Plus there is a primary mental health track, first responders, and faith-based integration. I LOVE their music therapies, Adventure-Based therapies, and they also have equine and restorative neurotherapies as well. And, they have a family program. Family involvement in treatment is so key. Thank you Andrew for the tour. I highly recommend Transformations :)

It's a good program, facility and it works if the patient is willing to work.
No one likes to have to go through this self, family, friends ext. But it's at times needed and their program worked for mine.
Staff are amazing. They really connected to mine. Empowered them overcome their dependency and related issues.
They have an alumni program and years later and they still check in on us. I would highly recommend.

Better latter than never..

I'm guessing those that are reviewing this platform KNOW how hard life can be and how challenging it is to just stay afloat..I'm here to tell you just keep going with THE RIGHT attitude and PROFESSIONAL TRANSFORMATION TEAM..your in the right direction. They have been so helpful and really helped us thru the thought rides.
And the hand holding EVEN AFTER my child left there treatment center was support that meant so much to me .
KEITH checking up on me and listening to my worries and supporting me thru them MEANT THE WORLD TO ME.

I am giving 2 stars because if this is your ONLY option for a treatment towards sober living, go for it. If you are looking for help with trauma or a mental illness run away. The admissions department are like car salesmen. I was told countless things that were not true. In my entire 37 days of treatment I met with my therapist only 3 times (I was told at least 2x a week) and saw the ocean only twice (I was told 2x a week). My therapist Dee, constantly belittled me in session and during group...

I am giving 2 stars because if this is your ONLY option for a treatment towards sober living, go for it. If you are looking for help with trauma or a mental illness run away. The admissions department are like car salesmen. I was told countless things that were not true. In my entire 37 days of treatment I met with my therapist only 3 times (I was told at least 2x a week) and saw the ocean only twice (I was told 2x a week). My therapist Dee, constantly belittled me in session and during group therapy in front of others. She would blame me when I spoke to her about not seeing progress but would take no responsibility for being unable to provide an emotionally safe space for me. I communicated my frustration with anyone who would listen including Candace one of the directors and I was told to work the program and wait it out. I can’t heal my own trauma, so being told to work harder was not helpful.
There are A LOT of people here (including Candace & Dee) who really want to help people. But this is a money making venture and because I have good insurance I feel I was taken advantage of. I’m sad I picked this facility. I wish I had a do over.

I’m a recent alumni of TTC. At first I was a little hesitant on going to treatment; but I decided to choose life over inevitability death. I know first hand how hard it is to finally make the choice to ask for help. What I can say if someone is struggling to ask for help, you really have to dig deep within and get real with yourself! Being in active addiction is a very scary place to be. It’s exhausting to be honest and I get that no one wants to be sick and how that is the main reason on why one may not want to go and get help. Life is so much better when you finally decide for YOURSELF that you want to get your life back and no longer become a slave to your addiction! Coming to TTC was the best decision I made for MYSELF! Everyone is great and are truly there for the patients and not just there to collect a paycheck, they genuinely are there to help you get through it and help you live a sober meaningful life! The program they have is amazing! The groups are meaningful and the group facilitators are awesome! The therapists are very knowledgeable, kind, and understanding to your situation and there for you and to help you through and through, day in and day out. TTC also has an amazing Evol program; which is a chance for you to get out and do some physical activities; whether it’s going to the beach to go scuba diving or paddle boarding or to go indoor rock climbing! Angie, who is the Evol facilitator is awesome! She will push you and not let you give up yourself! It’s a meaningful part of the program and meant a lot to me during my time at TTC! Lastly, they have an amazing spiritual based group led by Reverend Terrance! This an amazing guy and will guide you in the right way to get back on the righteous path! Rev. Terrance was a huge and main factor of what truly helped me to find my light again and ensured me that I had made the right choice of coming to TTC! For those who finally want to break free of their addiction, come to TTC and trust their process and you will never look back again! I did and it was the best decision I could have ever made for me and my sobriety!

My thoughts on this treatment center definitely exceeded my initial expectations. Towards the beginning, I found myself being resistant and later found friendships . I truly felt loved and personally cared for. I had the best friendships and will continue to be inspired by the staff. After my ten days at Summit, I was taken to the Transformation Treatment Center where I met some of the coolest staff like Daniel and De Andra, who made me feel extremely cared about. They truly exceeded my expectations and gave me a sense of relief with the amount of support and love they showered me with. Through transformation, I was able to meet Milo, Brittany, and the list goes on. While being in treatment, I picked up some new skills with some new experiences like sound therapy , yoga and attend church, which I truly loved. Overall, everyone I met and got to experience this with was great. With the help of transformation, I’m able to have a positive view of the future.
I had the opportunity to meet new technicians like Bri, who is so special to me. These few are so driven and care about their jobs so much that it motivates me to want to come back and share my experience. They truly made it feel like a vacation while away from home, and with their down-to-earth hearts and minds, they truly made me want to surround myself with like-minded people. At first, my expectations were very scary, but Bri, the lead technician, made me feel very welcomed, loved, and important.
My therapist, Dee, case manager, Keya, and nursing staff made me feel like I would be able to sustain life outside of transformation, especially because the majority of them took the time out to make me feel special.
My first day, I was ready to go home, but by the days leading up to the end, I pretty much wanted to extend. This support gave me life lessons, goals, nurture, and new beginnings that I’ll forever be grateful for. With the foundation of TTC, I have now incorporated prayer, daily affirmation, listening, and acceptance into my life. This is not a reflection, but a thank you to all the people who have made Matthew a better Matt. The impact that I have been left with from October 10th until November is extraordinary, and I’m forever grateful.
