If it wasn't for surrendering lane. Yes? Would not? Currently. Be sober. I'm currently sober for over a 120 days. I have a sponsor and I'm working the steps my counselor mental health counselor during my time at Serenity lane run valuable. This is the longest I've been sober since I was 16 years old. I met a lot of true friends that I currently have. And have stayed with during my tenure their Serenity lane.
I cannot wait till I have a year and so that I can go tell my story about my startin...

I met a lot of true friends that I currently have. And have stayed with during my tenure their Serenity lane.
I cannot wait till I have a year and so that I can go tell my story about my starting drinking at the age of 5. I'm the trauma I went through my? Whole. Life until now where I've bought a new home have great time. Working with nonprofits I love this place and I think anyone that has an addiction should be able to go there and experience the experience I experienced.

While in treatment, my pharmacy license was revoked, my wife filed for divorce, I could not see my three children, I gained a felony record, and I had lost the trust of everyone that I loved. I may have less objects to boost my ego, but I can live an honest life free of the obsession to use drugs. I genuinely respect the staff I encounter while in their program. Very educated helpful personel. My counselor/therapist (Samantha Flora) is amazing. she brings strangers together and builds a comfortable setting for us to open up. Thank you Serenity Lane.

The meeting counselor was amazing, The issues are trying to get admissions to call you back and get started in the program. Then they sneakily asked me if I had any licenses and I told themI did, I didn’t know that they were going to want the number and turn it in ,they should tell people that before they ask them I think that’s a illegal actually. It really shouldn’t be that hard to get into a drug program when you want to get sober.

I have been sober for many years after attending two different rehabs, countless AA meetings, and following several relapses. I've learned that there are two people who work in this field: 1. People who want to help, either from a place of personal experience or from genuine desire to help, or 2. Awful, horrid, pathetic excuses for human beings that desperately cling to any semblance of power they can get their grubby hands on that they prey on those with substance abuse disorders and/or mental illness. Because these people don't understand that no matter what substance a person is dealing with or what diagnoses they're struggling with, that person will never be as worthless as themselves. Monica is a woman that works at this location and that falls under the second category. Emphatically. I'm not sure why she particularly singled my best friend out of a group of people that were all seeking help, (and PAYING for it), and decided to ask her if she could EVER be quiet, proceeded to ask THE ENTIRE GROUP if they thought she could be quiet, and THEN ventured to tell her that in addition to being silent, maybe she should also put blinders on. I'm not even sure what she was implying; maybe my friend didn't pay attention or was clumsy with something.
Then certain individuals replied that my friend was a joy to be around and very pleasant to talk to, to which this audacious hag said, "Don't make excuses for her!"
Monica, my friend doesn't need to worry about people making excuses for her as she is quite possibly the greatest person I know. You, however, should have everyone around you that even calls you an acquaintance apologizing PROFUSELY for you.
Even in the unlikely possibility that my friend, (lets call her Rae, as I don't know you and your company and don't need any other jerks that work with you to retaliate against her in any way) was being talkative and wasn't paying attention to what riveting, repetitive stuff goes on in rehab, she was IN NO WAY deserving you to publicly shame her in front of anyone! Clearly you have no respect for the challenge it is to seek help AT ALL, let alone leave the world behind for 30 days, be in a new and scary place with no one you know, be quitting the substances that your brain tells you are as necessary as oxygen and food (wouldn't be an addiction if this weren't the case, now would it?), and feel nothing but uncertainty EVERY SINGLE SECOND because you're AFRAID TO DEATH that if you don't change, you'll die. And clearly you have no empathy let alone decency if your accomplished goal is to make someone further shut down, feel even worse than they already do, and potentially leave the program before they get what they need TO JUST SURVIVE. You are a horrid woman and I'm really sad I recommended Rae come here, especially since I already read a review about how some other counselor turned out to be a degenerate that mistreats and kicks people while they're down. I know for some reason its really difficult for rehab to be a positive experience in this country-maybe the reason is that they're highly unregulated and allow the employment of monsters like you. But I genuinely hope you find yourself in the terrible position that others find themselves in where they hit rock bottom and need human compassion to help dig them out. Except I hope no one helps you.

I’ve had experience with many different IOP programs and have been lucky to have some of the most amazing counselors. Unfortunately I cannot say that about this place. I don’t know if maybe I triggered something in my counselor that made them either not want to give me the credit I deserved, as I had stuck with them for 6 months, stayed clean that entire time and progressed tremendously, or if his ego about needing to be the authoritative “I’ve been through college so I know all there is to know”, I really don’t know all I can do is guess based on the feeling I got from my interactions with him. It got so bad that the very last group I attended, my peers were messaging me seeing if I was okay because he was basically attacking me, questioning me and treating me like I wasn’t being honest or I was doing something wrong. Calling me out in front of everyone for things that other clients did every day. I left treatment that day. I don’t care what anyone says, that is not how an Addiction Counselor should be treating any of their clients. Especially us being addicts, that approach never works. I tried to plead my case and bring awareness to how I felt, wasn’t taken serious wasn’t even listened to. I caught multiple mistakes on my progress reports regarding my attendance where he said I no called no showed multiple times in a row when I did not and I had proof of that and showed them. Said they would correct it on my next report, and did not do that. I am not a disrespectful person by any means, I was raised to respect everyone and if they don’t respect you, kill em with kindness and go about your business! I’m sure he is a great guy that is not what I’m saying, I’m saying that if I wasn’t as strong as I am in my recovery that I 100% would have taken that mistreatment and been embarrassed (which I completely was almost every single group by him and his comments) I would have felt ashamed and like my efforts did not make a difference and then I would have went right back out and relapsed over it. Thank the lord I did not, but that’s the reality of these places. That’s the risk of not doing your job! Someone could go out and use over the mistreatment they received and end up dead! Serenity Lane is full of amazing staff, but some really need to re-evaluate their approach, how they treat addicts and why the hell they chose that job in the first place. It was pathetic really.

I called this afternoon to simply ask what insurances were accepted and was very polite.... however the two older women I spoke too when I called were extremely rude and made me feel rather unwelcome to be calling in the first place. Because getting started in treatment can be a big step in someones life and when the first person you talk to when trying to make that step is a rude b**** it's rather discouraging.

Serenity lane is running a scam. I would never recommend using this facility for treatment. I was sober for over a year when I entered the program and they still made me go through detox which cost me $2000 out of pocket. Shawn in the billing department is extremely rude and unprofessional. If you need treatment I would look elsewhere. All they want is your money.
