Salvation Army combines evidence-based therapies, holistic modalities, and Christian beliefs to treat individuals struggling with drug abuse or alcohol addiction. Programs are designed specifically for the client with their needs and goals in mind. The main goal through treatment here is to help each client develop coping skills and techniques that will encourage sobriety long after their program has ended. Holistic therapies are great because they introduce clients to new habits or activities that can be continued throughout the rest of their life in a way that fits their needs and lifestyle. Because they also offer medically supervised detoxification services, clients work extremely close with their clinician and treatment team to ensure that all therapies, treatments, and medications are right for them. Other available services include addiction education, various sober activities, individual therapy, peer support groups, recreational activities, and more.

This place has everything you need for a good workout! BodyPump, Cycling and Zumba classes with a walk/run track, a huge swimming pool area, rock climb wall plus lots of cardio machines and free weights! 🏋🏾‍♂️😃 Aloe at the front desk is a ray of sunshine! 🌞 Love this place well, I loved it until last Thursday 2/14 I had a bad experience with one of the older ladies upstairs. Basically, she didn’t want to show us how to use a machine unless I was a member which sucks! Now, I’m contemplating if...

Hands down one of the top 3 worst purchases i have made in the 41 years on this earth. We got the membership so my three girls could go swimming, use the water slide, and climb the climbing wall. Well lets see we paid $100 to go to the pool on a weekend to LITERALLY get told that everyone needed to get out of the pool for 10 minutes for "bathroom break" 4 times!!! In an hour. Lets see the climbing wall has been closed every visit. Water slides were open for about 15 minutes. Oh, but oh wait t...

This place is amazing on all levels. The staff is genuine. The membership is affordable, the place is plenty big. Congratulations to the GM and supporting staff. It’s not easy to run a place this well.

My medical insurance includes a membership in a health facility. The one I chose is the Kroc Center. I really like this place. It has a walking/running/jogging track, great weight machines, free weights, a basketball court, classes for kids, a rock climbing wall, and a beautiful pool. I've been going a few times each week and I've lost 15 pounds. The staff is friendly as well. Great place.

Disappointing Experience: Outdated Policies and Unprofessional Management This morning I had an unfortunate encounter at the Grand Rapids Salvation Army Kroc Center, a Christian non-profit gym. While I was aware of their clothing attire policy, I made sure to dress appropriately by wearing a modest crop top that adhered to their guidelines. However, during my workout, a staff member approached me and claimed my attire was inappropriate, despite the fact that a manager and front desk staff la...
