It honestly wasn't as bad as expected. The staff was great and I was immediately put on the medication that would help me the most. But programs and groups were basically non-existent, and they were more like fun activities to do like crafts and trivia rather than anything therapeutic. Really needs to have better management from those in charge.

When you first talk to them for admission they are nice. It's just a place to help can be so unprofessional and disrespectful. Don't get me wrong some nurses are real respectful and polite some staff is bipolar and rude.you try to ask for someone to speak to they transfer you you leave a message no call back . Family trys to call for phone time most the time the staff is rude about it. My son was sent here hoping this was a place of proper treatment and respect.

I went here in January 2020 on my own admission because I was having suicidal thoughts and I felt unsafe. It did not help at all and I lost my apartment because I went here. The medicine made me like a zombie. The staff were nice and so were the patients. I didn’t like that one patient kept writing on my artwork

Horrible costumer service. When I had a mental breakdown they left me in my room, never checking up on me. All we did was watch movies. Didn't learn any coping skills. Food was ok, always crispy in the worst way possible (not fresh) The water quality for the adolescent unit was horrible. Staff didn't treat me with respect, or my parents with respect. They lied. They always delayed answers. My head hurt HORRIBLY, asked for medicine and didn't get it till an hour later. Never got a 1 on 1 the 3...

I am a mother permanent guardian with full psychiatric rights and payee of my son diagnosis with early on set dementia and mental heath issues since his car accident. I love someone that is ill and has been referred to St Luke’s for emergency hospitalization typically due to medication inconsistencies. Please do not send your loved one there if you want some great medical advice or evaluations or support. They will go thru system with the quickest turn around and you’ll be back where you st...

honestly this hospital wasn’t amazing but it also wasnt as bad as it could be, atleast in the teen unit. we were allowed snacks and naps and we could watch movies and play games and make puzzles and art and when you earned out of unit privileges they had a bunch of fun things to do, the food is decent for the most part but portions are way to small, you only get group therapy never 1 on 1, had a bug infestation and lice infestation, day staff were sometimes mean depending on who it was but ni...

I had gotten admitted last week and I was only there 3 days due to the fact that a group of girls had been threatening to jump me. Staff had done nothing to stop the issue instead they had "talked to them and tried to calm the issue". They had made the issue worse. One of the staff had sat there and listened to one of the females and then proceeded to laugh at me. The food is inedible. It's always cold or not cooked right. I had lost 7 pounds in the 3 days I was there. The bathrooms had no s...

It's been 5 years but I'm ready to share my experience. I was 16 when I was admitted for suicidal tendencies, anxiety, and general depression symptoms. Their teenage area was PACKED, so they gave me a room with the little kids. Some of the children, ages 3-12, had said they had been there for MONTHS. The "psychiatrist" IMMEDIATELY diagnosed me with Bipolar and put me on Depakote, which made me a zombie. My parents say I was stiff, rocking back and forth. After seeing me in this state, they as...
