Saint Francis Emergency housekeeper Ms Eva Is so nice and kind. She came to clean my Granny’s room while we were in the ER for 2 days. She kept the room so nice and neat. She spoke with a big smile on her face, this is the 1st housekeeper I have ever seen keep a smile all day and speak to everyone. She was just busy all day long, I told her to sit down take a break, she said Naw baby because I got to keep my Area A1 all the time.

I had spinal fusion surgery in November 2023. I had a great surgeon who explained everything to me step by step. My pre-op appointment was on time with professional staff that gave me expert care. After my surgery, my nurse ensured that I had good pain management and wound care. My constructive criticism is patient nutrition procedures. The food service staff brought my meal tray into my room, set it down, and left. I had NO help opening my eating utensils, much less feeding myself after spin...

My family was available to feed me; however, what do patients do when they do not have family members with them?

I was very disappointed with the ER experience. There weren't any rooms available, and patients were treated in the hallway. I was very disappointed with the ER experience. There weren't any rooms available, and patients were treated in the hallway. As a health care provider with ER experience, I found the service provided subpar. I witnessed several patients waiting several hours to get diagnosed and to receive the appropriate treatment. Because of the overwhelming number of people needing services, some medical errors were made. We arrived at 8:30 am. and wasn't actually triage until after noon. The ER staff never questioned me regarding what actually happened and what transpired to bring us there. I tried several times to explain to the intake people, and each time, I was told, " they will contact you if they have questions." My mother was misdiagnosed and discharged home without resources or a remedy to the cause of ER visit. 12 minutes after arriving home, another episode happened, and she was taken to Baptist Desoto, and within 5 minutes of arrival, she was in a room. 3 minutes later had a team of doctors was accessing her. 30 minutes later, I was admitted to the hospital and was scheduled for surgery. Saint Francis really dropped the ball on her and other patients who were treated in the hallway. I suggest that when the ER is overwhelming that the facility should be voluntarily close to admission and send the patients to the next available ER with the resources available. Saint Francis, as an emergency facility, is not deserving of the title Emergency Room . I actually trained there for my clinical affiliation, and since that time, things have changed and gone downhill. I will never use them again for ER services and wouldn't recommend them for your loved ones.

I've had multiple bad experiences with this hospital. Recently, my little brother was charged $3400 for 6 stitches in his finger. This was after insurance coverage. Also, the hospital billing department said paying over $170 a month is the absolute lowest payment they can accept. Unbelievable. In addition, when he asked about the cost before getting the stitches, they told him that his insurance provider covered it, and there would be no out of pocket expenses. Well, 2 weeks later he gets a $...

Well, 2 weeks later he gets a $3400 bill from the hospital. Charging a 21 y/o kid $3400 for 6 stitches and demanding he pay a minimum of $170 a month is absolutely insane. I will be seeking legal counsel for this situation.

For the experience I was told about from my son, the hospital really needs NO STARS. Has heart issues ( out of meds, pressure high) but was there for another issue( couldn't walk, foot swollen 3 days)They didn't even try to address the high pressure and one person spoke on it but then he was told NOTHING AT ALL was wrong with him. I guess the real problem was no insurance. I thought the hospitals were supposed to get whatever is found stable before releasing you regardless. Now he's going to g...

If you hate your family member and want to collect on their insurance, check them into this hospital cause they will surely kill them. The ICU staff prematurely kicks patients out to make room and once your person goes to the “general” population area you have to be there 24/7 to assure no malpractice. They are lazy and take short cuts. Do not go here. If you are shot in the head next door to St Francis, please please please drive the 30 minutes to the next hospital cause that place is a deat...

You must be there to advocate for your loved one. The moment you are not there….malpractice. Document everything they do and give your person so that you have evidence when you have to file a lawsuit.

I’d been to St Francis before and did not like my experience HOWEVER they’ve changed my mind. My Dad was found unresponsive and sent here. For weeks they cared for him while our family had no idea. God Bless the nurse who went above an beyond to find me on social media which led me here to find my dad after we all had been looking for him. God Bless the nurse who went above an beyond to find me on social media which led me here to find my dad after we all had been looking for him. I appreciate her so much because while she hinted for me to come here because I may have a loved one who needs help, she did not violate his HIPPA rights AT ALL. She had so much compassion for him but still maintain her integrity. When I got to the hospital I was impressed with how well groomed he was despite all that he’s gone through. He obviously just had a fresh bath and appeared comfortable even though he’d been through so much. Nurse Toshiba was AMAZING. Her greeting was soooo warm and was truly concerned for my Dad’s wellbeing as if he were a family member. She was super knowledgeable about all that he’d been through and genuinely cared. Such an amazing superhero.
I was impressed with how responsive the staff was not just for my dad but other patients in the floor. They do not play about a buzzer going off and are prompt about assisting after the call button is pressed. I asked them to clean him up as he would have visitors and they were on it!!! Lana, Michaela and Brittany I will never forget your kindness and generosity.
Healthcare can be so daunting because so many people are jaded but whoever is in charge of staffing at this facility is getting it right. You can tell there is a positive culture here because everyone is kind and truly has a desire to serve. Nothing is perfect and there will always be opportunities to be and get better but I’m grateful for their efforts and care. Thank you to everyone who loved on my dad when he really needed it❤️
