I would honestly rate this place negative stars if I could. I’m 16, so I was in the adolescent unit of the building. I left out feeling practically the same, if not, worse. The place was ABSOLUTELY disgusting. Mold in the bathrooms, bugs crawling everywhere, etc. There aren’t many places you can go in the building, however, there are more choices than usual. But the STAFF, oh my goodness the staff were so rude. Now there were some amazing people, like Ms. Angie and her friend. Also the Asian/...

But you will encounter many rude staff, and the entire time I was there, I met some the most DISGUSTINGLY rude people on earth, who SHOULD NOT be working in psychiatric hospitals if that’s how they treat mentally ill people. The food was actually better than any other place I’ve been. But I got more help from the other kids that were there than I did from the actual employees.

If I could give this facility ZERO stars I would. It was ABSOLUTELY disgusting and needs to be shut down. Out of ALL of the professionals working at this facility a man named Kyle as well as one of the techs from the children’s unit were the only sincere and caring people in the building. If you need MENTAL HEALTH HELP I highly highly suggest going else where. This place needs to be reported to the state.

A nightmare from beginning to end. Only two people working there were worth anything. Julia, a tech in the women's unit was extraordinary. She went above and beyond to make our lives better. And one young man named Kyle, who also went above and beyond. They both deserve 10 stars and a raise.

I would rate this facility a negative star if I could. When you send a love one for care, you expect them to receive just that. My daughter has been there since March 1, she was originally on a 10 13 hold. Today is March 11 and she is still there. Despite her signing a HIPPA form , the facility will not share any information on her potential discharged date. A 10 13 hold is only for 72 hours. Then if the physician see it fit, the physician can hold her there for 5 days. Unfortunately for my daughter she is on day 6 and we still have no answers as to when she will be discharged. We are constantly told she is doing well, and the nurse or discharge doctor will call. We sit and wait and get no call back. I have reached out to the patient advocate and no response. This place only wants to hold patients to bill health insurance, no actual care has been given. There pump her up with shots. No therapy just shots

EDIT: The response below was completely empty and without any true meaning. We still are getting calls asking us to call her back and she still CLEARLY doesn't know that she needs to give us a PIN. They have and are doing NOTHING to make sure she is aware of this policy so that her family can reach her. It is inhumane and CRUEL. They do not care at all.

This place is just straight up cruel to people suffering mental health crisis.
My mother-in-law was taken here after an attempt to take her life. This happened on a Friday and her hold would not start until Monday. Over the weekend she called us twice asking us to call her back. The problem is that she clearly was not aware that she needed to provide a personal identification number so that we can call her back and there is no way to reach her without it. I called customer support multiple times to request that it be made clear to her what the policy is since she OBVIOUSLY does not understand it. She is sitting there in this place thinking nobody is calling because they don't care. The first time we were met with such absolute and utter rudeness I cannot believe it. The operator wouldn't listen to what we were asking and just assumed we were asking for the PIN or to be connected. We were not asking for either--we just were requesting that they make sure that the patient UNDERSTANDS the policy. She hung up on us. When we called back she must have accidentally picked up the phone because we could hear her talking in the background about us and saying she won't pick up the phone.
I called again and spoke to someone else who was nice but later that day we got another call from my MIL, leaving a vm (we have a toddler and can't always get to our phone immediately), asking us to call her back. We called the facility again and explained the situation and once again we were met with someone making assumptions about our wanting to give her our phone number to call or relay a message from us. NEITHER is what we were asking. WE JUST want to make sure that she is told in a manner that she understands what the policy is around people calling her. It's not a lot to ask that a patent understand their rights especially when in a situation like this. They kept saying her emergency contact will be called but her emergency contact is her dead husband. The whole thing was horrible. This place is horrible. They clearly do not care about the mental health of their patients or they wouldn't continue to allow someone who just attempted to take her life to think that nobody cares about her because they didn't make sure she understood that nobody could call her without a PIN. This is just basic human decency and what they are doing is pure cruelty.

Sometimes individuals may have a bad experience and do a review. That doesn't speak for the overall agency. Sometimes the good experiences never make it here. I am here to say that Ridgeview cares and is one of the best places to go to get your situation turned around completely, along with extended care. They get the job done; details and quality count. I would send any family member there because it is a place of integrity that you can trust.

this place does more harm than good for 1013 kids. there’s a reason the reviews are so terrible. first of all my daughter was exposed to behavior she shouldn’t have in a state as fragile as hers was. they ran out of water at one point and only gave them tea. tell you they provide toiletries but had no combs or conditioner. they are treated more like prisoners than victims. lack of communication is astounding, it’s like pulling teeth to get someone on the phone to tell you anything about your ...

Staff where rude to not only me, my parents, and other patients. They treated us like we were an inconvenience to their job even though we WERE their job. They treat the girls better than they treat the boys, better food, better staff, etc. One of the staff members was randomly shoving patients for no reason. (Also one of the night staff tried fighting one of the patients and another one was giving patients permission to assult other patients. It's a nightmare, I don't want to see a response ...

It's a nightmare, I don't want to see a response to this review apologizing or disregarding anything, you can apologize to me and the hundreds of other bad reviews here by fixing your facility.
Edit: When I was transferred to the facility from the hospital I was in a waiting room with no windows or anything for over 13 HOURS AND NO UPDATES, I was scared and didn't know what was going on, I ended up falling asleep and no one came in to talk to me, I got there at 6 PM on a Wednesday and wasn't put into the system and transferred to the unit until 9 AM the next morning.
