My wife went here after a SA and communication was a problem from day 1. This is because there was absolutely no communication from them about what was going on with her and her treatment, or what the plan would be going forward after she was discharged, or even the timeline for when she would be discharged was. I had to physically go in there to speak with someone. She was admitted on a Tuesday morning, and I had heard nothing by Friday from anyone who worked there.

My wife went here after a SA and communication was a problem from day 1. This is because there was absolutely no communication from them about what was going on with her and her treatment, or what the plan would be going forward after she was discharged, or even the timeline for when she would be discharged was. I had to physically go in there to speak with someone. She was admitted on a Tuesday morning, and I had heard nothing by Friday from anyone who worked there.
Friday I went in to speak with someone. My wife had been told all week, and had spoken to me about being discharged Friday. Friday morning she called me and said that they no longer planned to discharge her that day and she did not know why, as no one had talked to her about this change either.
I went in to talk with someone, and unfortunately this is when I met and spoke with Kathy, the director of clinical services, who is in charge of the SWs/therapists. She was rude and condescending from the moment the meeting started, and seemed unable and unwilling to answer any questions I had about my wife and the care she was receiving. I left the meeting with her feeling even worse than I had going in. And with even less faith and confidence in their ability to care for my loved one. After going through the worst weeks of my life following my wife's suicide attempt, she was able to make it even worse by having extremely poor communication skills and being aggressively uncaring about what family members might be experiencing during this incredibly difficult time as well. This seems like a poor trait to have for someone in her position.
I spoke to multiple other people after her, who were much more helpful and were able to explain things to me and answer my questions like normal and caring human beings. If Kathy had been able to talk with me and answer my questions the way everyone else I talked to had (Morgan, Michael, Samantha, and Lauren, who were all awesome), this all could have been one conversation about my concerns and she could have helped put my mind at ease about the care my wife was receiving.
Instead, she made me feel even more concerned and distrustful about the care she was receiving, and caused even more distress and grief to an already terrible situation for both my wife and I. he had also never spoken to or met my wife, and tried to tell me about how essentially "delusional" she was for ever thinking she would be released on that Friday. Even though I ended up speaking to several other members of her care team who all said Friday had been talked about multiple times over the course of the previous days. I do not know how she is able to be a part of my wife's treatment team, when she had never actually spoken to or met her before.
This seems to be an ongoing problem with Kathy, and something needs to change. Patients and families come here and interact with Columbus Springs during some of the worst times of their lives. We do NOT deserve to be treated this way, and made to feel worse during an already traumatic and awful time, by this individual.

The outpatient service was helpful, my counselor was amazing person. But I got my meds adjusted to a higher dose which effected me negatively. I left a voice mail never heard back. Except when I was called 3 separate times about my bill. Not being called about negative side effects but being reminded of the 1,000 dollars I owes. And then later "I'm sorry with the new year it's actually 2,000". That's not helpful and very much gives a feeling of money over treatment. There is also no payment...

There is also no payment plan or anything while serving a population were money is potentially scarce.
In a time were people are struggling to make ends meet to the point it effects their mental health this should be considered.

It was a good experience of healing, my therapist Kelsey was awesome! And the cpa, I think her name was Atasha was great as well, the staff was good overall( I will have to say the communication was not all there, as i didnt know what was going on with my own treatment until about half way in, but i didnt let that stop my progress and Dr Rayani got me feeling better. I only gave 1 star because I HAD to! I would give ZERO STARS if it were an option. If you or a family member are going thru a mental crisis. i would highly recommend to not bring them here. The front desk staff sets the tone with their nonchalant attitude and lack of empathy for their patients/visitors. My sister has been there several days and they will not provide us any treatment update or discuss options! We call and they either don't answer, hang up or send to VM to NeVer return the call. My mother was contacted by my sisters caseworker TIffany. Who was supposed to call my mom at 3 pm after not returning several other calls. My mom called at 3:15 to be told that Tiffany had left for the day! My sisters roomate had her gown wrapped around herself and was turning blue because no one was checking on her ! This place is awful. Everyone has a case of "that's not my job". They also gave my sister a bill a few days into her stay and told her it must be paid. Like how was she expected to pay that while there and does that sound like a good idea to give a patient something to worry over !!!???

Techs, some of them are great others a new one was rude, and acted like she knew it all and when I called her out on her behavior, she went to management and told the truth on me yet lied about her end of the discussion. That is typical, but management never came to me and asked my side of it, never, and that's bad. Understaffing is typical, but I ran into a nursing supervisor that was ultimately useless knowing I was short staffed, but did the obligatory "I'm over there if, you need me" meaning don't bother me and if you ask, I might help eventually but probably not. I called other units to help sign off my insulin that I had to give. i waited, and I waited some more. And got no help from them.
The patients aren't bad, but the facility doesn't let them listen to music on the unit only in music therapy class. The snacks for the patients are the same old day after day generic snacks, but don't let the patients have popcorn or other snacks out of your own food. That's a sin.
I guess in short management running the facility doesn't do very good for trying to look at both sides the workers may have. They also don't uphold policy unless they want to. And as for helping the patients, it's not helping the patients to get them minimally stabilized, then send them back out having them repeat and then return.
I would advise against using this facility as a patient and as staff until upper management can learn to communicate, meaning listen to both sides of the story. Also, until staff is held accountable for their bad attendance and other issues, it's going to be a rough job to try and work

Some unaccredited doctor who’s name I was never given and never met with pink slipped me. The employees tapered, strapped me down and sedated me using 4 syringes, force fed me, and forced me to strip in front of men. Do NOT go near this place you will regret it

COMPLETE SCAM AND FRAUD. The blonde lady therapist told me that I needed to cater to the Indian man psychiatrist’s ego to get him to let me out after keeping me even when showing I was fine. Maybe because they charge $4,000 a night so you can color with crayons all day till you tell them you’re happy. You have zero privacy and you will be promoted cigarette smoking even if you don’t smoke they will promote that you do 3 times a day. You’re better off going to country jail.
